The main hallway terminates in the Vestibule, which is decorated on opposing walls with two forty- foot long marine scenes of the north shore of Sydney Harbour and Edinburgh from the Firth of Forth. These apparently celebrate the birthplaces of Mr. and Mrs. Greenlaw. The Edinburgh mural is gradually being revealed by Villa Alba’s conservator.
The floor of this room has recently been restored and wall brackets are now being reproduced to provide appropriate lighting.
A 40 foot long panoramic view of Sydney Harbour decorates
one wall of the vestibule.
